We always keep a close eye on our ecological footprint and ensure that our production processes are designed with care.
With our furniture for people and animals, we not only want to do something good for you and your pet, but also make our contribution to environmental protection and fulfill our social responsibility. We have therefore intensively concerned ourselves with the subject of sustainability and put our efforts into practice with everything we do.
How do we live sustainability
Natural raw materials
Whether wood, oils or stone: we only use natural, sustainable raw materials for our products, most of which are sourced locally and processed with love, care and experience.
Wood as a sustainable material
As a carpentry business, our heart is particularly attached to wood. Wood as a building material is a renewable resource, and as furniture material it has an excellent ecological balance. For our products we only use solid wood, which is either cut from the trunk or processed in the 3-layer form. We deliberately do not use chipboard.
Wood in numbers:
- 30.4 millionm3 of wood grows back in Austria every year.
- This is roughly equivalent to 5,500 football pitches.
- During a single day, the amount of wood for 2,160 single-family wooden houses grows back, in this country.
Handmade in Austria
At Tulpe und Petucci, we rely on honest, loving handiwork from local businesses. Our products are produced by us or by companies from the immediate vicinity. Most of our raw materials also come from the region.
Short transport routes and local production protects the environment and creates jobs in local businesses. Thereby, we ensured sustainable production and fulfill our social responsibility.

From the procurement and quality of raw materials to the sustainable design of transport routes and the processing of materials: the well-being of people, animals and the environment is our top priority.
Good for humans, animals and nature
It is important to us, to live sustainability in all areas. We therefore not only ensure that our furniture never harms anyone, but also that it does not harm the environment.
For the surfaces of our furniture, we therefore only use paints made from purely plant-based materials that are absolutely harmless to flora and fauna. We do not use lacquers, but only high-quality oils with which we seal the furniture during a special finishing process.
