Main material: Rattan
Our trays are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully like nature.
Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants that take up space from other plants and remove many nutrients from the soil. The stalks, which grow back quickly without the use of chemicals, need to be cut regularly and can be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and abundant material.

When selecting our local producers, we attach great importance to fair payment and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. As all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process causes hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
