The special feature of this blanket made of natural cotton is the 3D weaving technique: it gives the plain-colored woven check a three-dimensional effect and at the same time gives Tenun a soft and light look.

Material: Cotton
Our blankets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.
We use cotton from local farmers in Java for our products. The cotton fields are naturally fertilized and the cotton bolls are picked by hand. The cotton is then separated from the boll in a ginning machine. The cotton is pressed into bales, combed and spun into yarn by hand. After the yarn has been spun in this way, it is processed by hand on traditional wooden looms by the craftsmen. Cotton is characterized by its absorbency and skin-friendliness. Our cotton is not chemically treated and is therefore not suitable for tumble drying. The products should be ironed at low temperatures.

This blanket was handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we attach great importance to fair pay and good working conditions. Only adult and experienced craftsmen work in the companies from which we source our goods. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. As all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process causes hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
